We have a slab!
Forgive me for my absence, as we have just welcomed another gorgeous little boy to our tribe!
And in other news we have a slab! Our build began on the 1st November starting with benching. Our block has a slope to it so a fair amount of soil had to be removed from the site. Internal drainage was completed, then the form work, steel and waffle pod installation. The concrete pour happened on Saturday 18th November. We have been quite lucky with the weather. At first a lot of rain had been forecasted but not a lot has seemed to come. When it has rained its been at the right times (like just after the slab pour!)
Our frames will be delivered this Saturday and the carpenters should start putting them up on Monday. We are really happy with the progress so far and it’s so exciting to see something new happening on site every few days. Below are some photos of our progress!
